Hi! Thanks for visiting our new web-site, and a special thanks for those of you who visited our booth at the huge bridal show at the Quality Hotel and the Prestige Bridal Show at the Hamilton Convention Centre recently. We talked to so many about your wedding and stag and doe’s. As we’ve said over and over again, Rockin Robin D.J. Service is not just something we play around with on the side. This is what we do!! Although we have to admit, it's lots of fun and has been for 27 years. We have tried to make our website, light, colourful, cheerful and happy, kind of easy going.

You had a great reception, a fantastic dinner, the perfect day so far and now ...it’s time for the entertainment. Your D.J. is NOW going to make or break your party. Hey! If the disc jockey IS NOT that great your guests will say:
(a).."Ah, the wedding was OK"
(b).."It was so so"
(c).."Oh, not bad." OR
(d).."Gee, thanks for the good time but we gotta go"BUT if your D.J. is fun-lovin' and outgoing, someone who can read the crowd real FAST, then your reception dance is going to be the talk of your friends for months to come.
Some couples will say "...we have a friend of a friend of a friend playing our dance."
American Bridal Magazine wrote "...less than 5% of your budget will be for the D.J. but 65% of your guests will remember the dance when it's all over."
Couples will spend huge amounts of money anywhere from ($300-$800) for their wedding cake plus a whole bunch more money for other things and then hire a $250.00 D.J. and wonder why half the people left during the dance.??? *Remember* as we mentioned above, trim your budget if you have to but NOT the entertainment. YOUR party will be the LAST THING your guests will remember. ** NOTE** PLEASE check our wedding references. These references are all new and date back a looong way!
Accessories
You
can enhance your dance with different effects that are not irritating, they
are used with different songs and not used constantly. We have large mirror
balls that shine from the inside out. These are dazzling with clear and colored
lights that light up the room and ceilings. Something new that was introduced
about a year ago are fire lights. These look like torches and added with smoke,
( not real smoke but a water based mist), really gives the room a nice warm
look. With certain songs this looks fantastic. Also, we use strobe lights which
can drive you nuts if you constantly use them but are fun when used here and
there to accent. Then there are lights that dance to the beat of the music.
Bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles. Yes, this looks great too. Especially during
the bride and groom’s first dance. With the mirror balls this really looks sparkling.
*Note: wet bubbles on a wooden floor can be slippery. WHEEEE OOOOPS OH OH!
Special Ideas
Many people today have certain songs they want played at certain times. ie:
1 • When the parents enter the room.
2 • Then the wedding parties’ songs which are sometimes different tunes for each couple. Wow, that can keep us hopping. Especially if it’s a big wedding party.
3 • Then the special song for the bride and groom when they enter the room. This one should be upbeat and fun.
4 • We are often asked, "would you guys introduce the wedding people?" Yes! We would love to.
5 • Many brides ask, "What's a great Father & Daughter dance song?" We've compiled 34 very popular songs for you to look over. You may already have another song in mind but this is just an idea.

We are always asked if we play requests and this amazes us. Why wouldn’t we? We’ve heard that many D.J.'s just don’t want too. Don’t worry. Just ask us. We have all the request sheets on our table. We have thousands of hit songs and will gladly play them for your guests.
